The improvement is one of several planned through 2016 on and around Route 18.Photo courtesy of Ohio Department of TransportationFAIRLAWN/BATH/COPLEY Three projects on state Route 18 will be combined into one set to begin later this year and continue into 2016.According to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), plans call for resurfacing the road from the Fairlawn/West Akron border to the Medina County line, widening it to three lanes in each direction from the Interstate 77 interchange to Hametown Road and replacing a bridge over Yellow Creek near the Medina County border.ODOT District 4 Public Information Officer Justin Chesnic said the project is estimated to cost about $8 million and will go out for bid to contractors in June.
